Word Skills Check
Word Skills Check is an easy to use quiz. It gives you clear questions with boxes to tick your answer and it's great fun too!
There are three simple steps:
Step 1 - Practise questions to build your confidence
Step 2 - Tick boxes to answer questions as Word Skills Check checks your skill level
Step 3 - Pick up your own Learning Map to show you how far you have got in each topic and what you need to do more work on.
It's very relaxed. You work through the questions at your own speed. You decide how hard you want them to be. You can do them as often as you like, and you can pick and choose the bits you want to do and leave the rest.
Once you have your Learning Map, you will see which level you can move up to as soon as you feel ready to go on to your next course.

On completion of this course you will be able to:
Understand how to do a computer-based skills test.
Use the diagnostic to work out your abilities in relation to the new structure for reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Use the diagnostic with or without help to plan a programme of learning.
