BBC Creative Archive Licence

The BBC has opened its video archives and released some programme extracts to the UK public under the terms of its Creative Archive Licence. People interested in being creative with BBC assets can register to download and use it as raw material for their own creative work. The footage includes clips of natural history, wildlife, science, locations, art and more.

BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra are inviting listeners to join the 'Rip, Mix and Win!’ competition. Entrants download BBC clips available under the terms of the Creative Archive Licence and put together a video mix. The best mix will win VJ equipment and the winner will VJ live to a mix of their choice on these radio stations. The competition will run throughout September at the Radio 1 and 1Xtra Superstar VJs sites, and mix entries must be received by 10 October 2005.
